Diversity & Inclusion

Our actions are guided by the ESG concept — Environmental, Social and Governance. We are part of the history of Rio de Janeiro and understand the scale of our responsibility. Our commitment is focused on three thematic pillars that contribute to the development of Rio de Janeiro's society: diversity and inclusion, environment, and culture.

Diversity & Inclusion

Our journey towards diversity and inclusion is recent, but driven by an active agenda. We develop training programmes, awareness sessions, debates, and meetings that bring together leaders and employees from different areas, hierarchical levels, and affinities — all aimed at fostering discussions on LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, gender equality, and racial equality.

Culture

We encourage culture through our partnership programmes and internal activities: Trem da Leitura (Reading Train), Geladeira Literária (Literary Fridge), Trem do Samba (Samba Train), and Trem do Choro (Choro Train), as well as a range of cultural activities through our partnerships programme.

Environment

Sustainability is in our DNA. We have a commitment to the well-being of people, inside and outside the rail network. Our team of employees works together to identify risks and opportunities related to the environment, including: lamp disposal, water reuse, cardboard reuse, pruning and weeding, removal of bees and wasps, and solid waste and effluent management.
